All competitive swimmers must be between the ages of 5 and 18, as of June 1st of the current year to compete in swim meets. Although each swimmer does not have to be proficient at all strokes to be on the team, s/he does need to be a competent, independent swimmer. For safety, all swimmers must demonstrate ability to swim the length of the pool without touching, taking breaks, or requiring assistance, in order to participate on the swim team. If swimmers do not qualify based on skill (as determined by the coaches on the first day of practice), team placement may be reconsidered, and registration fees and volunteer requirements may be adjusted or reimbursed at Club's discretion.
